Write Friday 29th of November in your diary, it’s the Christmas lights switch on date for the towns of Camborne and Helston. Community events where businesses, townsfolk and schools contribute to a fun filled festive day. In Helston, roads will be closed to traffic between 3:40 pm – 10 pm, which allows everyone to walk around town and enjoy the festivities. A fantastic fireworks display will be blasting into the sky from 7.15 pm (weather permitting). However, celebrations in Helston town don’t stop there, but continue with a series of events including a lantern parade. More information can be found on the Helston Town website.

In Camborne Town, there will be a Christmas market with great local produce, as well as live stage performances from 3:00 pm. Park for free in Rosewarne car park from 4:00 pm and also every Saturday leading up to Christmas. The Christmas lights’ switch on, takes place at 6.30 pm in the town square.
